What are real Biker Babes?

My views on what “Real Biker Babes ” are of old fashioned and old school.
I grew up riding most my life and taught respect for myself and for my man at my side.
And when Single, the respect for myself stayed with me.

Today’s women are that of Fashion and how much skin one can show statement.
It seems the younger generation biker babes who ride have fallen into this category.

Back in my day, a "Titty" contest was just that. Today a "titty" contest turns into a "cooter contest." Not only do they show their tits, they take it all off. As with a "Hot Buns" contest. IT was the BUNS and the TITTY'S. Not the whole package. The whole package was there for only your man.

What are these contests really about?
Yesterday, good old school "titty" contest was showing "tits" it never went further than that.
Which today takes the focus off what the idea is really about.

Yesterday, the biker babes stood by their men and at their sides respectfully.

Today the women roam.

Yesterday it was what " Biker Babes " stood for and how they carried themselves around their man and their men's "brothers"

Today, it’s all about how much skin a woman can show. Yesterday, it was leather and boots. Today the fashion is very colorful and creative but not many keep their clothes on.

Yesterday, “ biker babes ” would show their tits when asked or would flash a tit on the road for good measure.

Today its automatic. Anywhere, and at anytime.

Yesterday there was a time and place for stripping, at a clubhouse get-together or Strip clubs.
Let’s face it ladies, we all have men who like to look at a beautiful woman. We who were raised to accept that do. Those who were not, end up in drama, hatred and violence.

Today’s biker babes get mad if their man leaves to go ride. They ask, when, where and why?

Yesterday, Biker Babes would well wish their men out the door and accept their man will be back when they get back. (Made for less drama and issues.) Also out of respect.

Yesterday, single biker babes were respected and welcomed.
Today, single biker babes are looked at as a object , without respect and is harassed immensely by the new generation of Bikers.

Yesterday, Old School Biker Babes were very sexy.
Today, we get overlooked if we are not showing most of our skin.

Granted Old School Men have become more acceptable of independency in women. As well as accepting this in their own women.
The domination and control is no longer . ( for most those who still have issues over this do.)
Don’t get me wrong, I will NOT let any man dominate or control who I am today.
But, out of good teaching if I am standing beside my man and he is beside me,
The natural respect kicks in. You do not have to be a biker to have those beliefs.
It’s rule of life no matter who you are.

Be who you are, not what people expect you to be. Carry yourself well, have self-respect. And hold your head high.
Times have changed. I remember when sex was safe and motorcycles were not.
I do miss those times.

So, for the "plastic, yuppie, credit card" “ Biker Babes ” more power to you, if you feel this is how you want to be portrayed.
For us Real Biker Babes ..” Power to the old chicks” We know who we are and what we want, and defiantly know what we stand for.

Warning !!! on Biker Babes

I asked a friend for his opinion, to help give you insight and understanding into biker babes attitudes, lifestyles of this biker babes sisterhood. It's not all about leathers, boots, tattoos, and showing skin. It is an attitude much stronger then that.

One perspective and warning from a very close man came to my attention:
He writes,

A word of advice, caution, even alarm, for those "uninitiated" males that have designs on biker babes.
Yea to the eye, they are beautiful, tough, no bullshit, women. They hold a certain attraction due to the lifestyle they choose to live. The lifestyle of biker babes, they live fast, party hard, and carry on with no apologies. As per my point, advice, or cautionary words for those "unaware" males that seek to have a relationship with any biker babes, you best be damn sure that your "biker' enough to handle it !
Because as I said, they are tough ! And take no bullshit ! If you are not absolutely certain that you can handle a woman with such qualities, my advice to you, little brother, stick to cheerleaders.

Biker Babes from all over will tell you, they adore the men and machines they ride. There is no such thing as an ugly bike or ugly man riding it. The attention these men get from biker babes, is probably the reason so many men try to be like them.

Bikes, Bikers, Biker Babes, . Besides the love of the road and freedom it provides, aside from the family atmosphere at any event or run, or the tough leather and boots they wear, the unconditional admiration of hard and tough coverings set off with smooth and curvy lines, describes the bike, and the biker babes that hang around them. They are a perfect compliment to each other. Riders realize this, men love it, and this is one reason so many biker babes are proud to show off their curves, dressed lightly in leather, whenever there is a bike event around.

Men enjoy the look, other women admire it too. It's an easy, smooth transition between a highly envied woman and a powerful machine.

These wonderful women we know as biker babes, ooze in attitude. Complying with societies rules simply because of the consequences, would surely hinder the freedom, openness, and good feel of any event they are attending with their brothers and sisters of the road. These events were originally formed by their people, for their people. The "family" way to spend time together, catch up on the things going on in their lives and generally just have a good time.

I believe the corporations, cities and local governments, across this nation, have defaced these events with rumor and slander of bikers and biker babes over so many years, to justify their cashing in and controlling the events as they are today. Rules and do's and don'ts. Fines and fees. Leather sales, boot sales, biker babes outfitters, and so many more "biker items" everywhere you look. "Proper" behavior is expected and demanded for bikers, biker babes, and attendees. Societies "proper" is far from the standards of genuine love and acceptance for each other, of the true bikers and biker babes. For this reason, most lifestyle bikers and biker babes will pass on attending most of these "put on" events.

Bikers and Biker Babes are about extreme passion for living, and keeping their ideals strong in spite of societies ways of trying to control them. The freedom and openness of the road, is extended into their rides, love, and lifestyle. These men and their biker babes are not the outcasts "society" has tried to claim. Just take a look at all the rallies across the nation, and the thousands of people trying so hard to be like them.

Biker Babes around the world saddle up, whether alone on their own, or firmly seated in back of their man, because riding season is here. The gathering of "family" at rallies, the biker community help of benefits runs, the playfullness of poker runs. Bike shows, swap meets, cross country runs. It's the active time of year for biker babes everywhere.

Although biker babes, love their leather, love their boots, their confidence and self respecting side has no problem showing skin, and lots of it, if at any given time they feel it would be more comfortable for them. They love a party, love the "family" gatherings. Biker babes truly enjoy the road stories that other riders have to tell. Life is to be lived, and participated in. Biker babes have no desire to sit on the sidelines and watch it go by.

If you attend a rally and go into one of the bars..take notice at the tables laughing the loudest. The one with the best conversations going on. The table paying the least attention to the entertainment around them. My bet would be, you'll see the real biker babes enjoying the company and road stories of their brothers and sisters seated right besides them.

I asked a friend of mine for his ideas of what a biker babe is all about..
I truely expected to read about leather, and boots and boobs, ink, and showing skin

But this is what he sent me...

Biker babes,
She's a hardcore beauty, one that's hard to find,
She's strong in spirit, stronger in mind.
She'll back me up, no matter what I say
with her lethal tongue, or her determined ways.

We've traveled close, we've traveled far
we'll ride cross country, or just follow the stars.
She doesn't complain, when her ass gets sore,
just snuggles in closer and hugs me some more.

She is genuine in her ways, never puts on a front,
Is happy with what we have, she's very content.
My needs are all met, not put on a shelf.
She loves not only me, but is at peace with herself.

It's Biker Babe Time of Year

Biker Babes are hitting the roads and rallies all over the country. It's time to grab up the leathers, throw on the boots and ride! That pent up, caged in feeling that comes with the winter months in most parts of the world, has passed by for another year. The open road is calling their names. That feeling of freedom, love of the wind, desire to explore new avenues and meet new people is oh so strong as it rises to the surface.

Back in a day it was taboo for a woman to ride their own, looked down on, and addressed as having a flaw in their womanhood. However these days, even their men counterparts seem to agree, there is something very sexy about a woman strong minded, and self confident enough to dress up in leather, throw back her hair and reach for that helmet, toss aside the heels to put on those riding boots, just so they can hit the road and ride her own.

The leather and lace that is abundant at the rallies all over the country, is symbolic to many of the woman who don't ride their own. Almost a tribute to those biker babes that travel along side their "brothers" of the road.

Riding season has begun, rallies are popping up all over the world. It's time to ride. To all the Biker babes, out there on the road, be safe, stay strong enjoy the ride.

Expression of Biker Babes

Biker Babes come in all ages, shapes, heritages, and backgrounds. The biggest similarity of any biker babe is the love of a good time with friends they meet along the way. Shyness is usually not a character of any biker babe. They love their leather. They love the ambiance of a leather clad group of fellow riders. The freedom felt while in the wind, the love of nature and their brothers and sisters of the road, their usual friendly and good natured attitude makes biker babes a welcomed addition to most rider gatherings.

The leather attire of Biker babes, is not only protective wear while riding, it is an expression of inner self confidence and a strong will. Lace gives a glimpse into their feminine sides and the exotic jewelry is usually a gift from natural mother, as in turquoise and silver. Biker babes have the will and confidence to expresses themselves. Wearing those very low cut leather halter tops, short short leather skirts, nothing ontop but a very tight lace up low cut leather vest, are all symbols of their self confidence no matter what size they may be. To those in the biker world, all biker babes are beautiful.

Biker Babes on the Road

Biker Babes that ride their own are becoming more and more popular. Woman who want to be in the wind, and don't want to wait on someone to share the chrome. The freedom to just go ride.

Clubs for woman are popping up all across the country to bring together woman who like to ride and be part of an elite sisterhood. These Biker babes are in good company regardless of their background, spirituality, religion, or just about anything else. They are not outlaw clubs. Most don't openly support any of the major MC clubs. They are woman who just enjoy the ride and want to share the experience with other female riders. These groups can be found all over the world. Biker related magazines, forums, or dealers can direct any woman to one of these groups in their area.

Most of the major rallies these days sponsor a ride for these woman, and the number of biker babes who participate is steadlily on the rise. Biker Babes of all ages, sizes, and backgrounds, are joining together to distinguish themselves as the true biker babes of the road. The true sisters-in-the-wind.

Biker Babes G-Strings n chaps

Biker babes have sure come a long way since the 50's when the standard apparel was capettes and ladies wool lined riding jackets. Leather G-strings n chaps, the lowest of low cut tops, shortest of skirts, tight, tight, tight everything, is accepted in this group. Showing skin and flashing the crowd......mud, jello, slaw wrestling in the skimpiest of under clothes, if any, all acceptable. There are no gasps of breathe when one of these lightly dressed biker babes walks by at a rally. There is no sense of disgust or moral questions. They are proud of their womanhood. Proud to display it among the crowd. It is accepted and respected.

The rallies and rides have a sense of security and trust, that is very hard to put in words. Most of these woman wouldn't think of walking around the town in that attire if there weren't a rally. For one, it would be inviting trouble for them. However, here at the the biker rallies, they feel safe enough, comfortable enough to not even give it a second thought. I find that incredibly interesting considering the stereotype society has put on bikers. Yet these Biker Babes, feel perfectly safe around these events.

Biker Babes Leather

It wasn't until the 50's that Harley Davidson began including woman in their product lines. Biker babes then, were referred to as Companion Riders. At that point in time, Harley designed a woman's black leather jacket and cap with a long veil type effect in the back for woman. Their men's leather jackets were modified for a tighter fit to a woman's frame. The tighter fit is to offer better protection from the wind and elements yet flow smoothly with the body as if it were a glove. It also offers the best protection in case of a fall. This look has given ladies a more "rebellious, wild, and free" look then was ever intended with the introduction of this line of ladies riding accessories. Their men loved that look.

Over the years, leather has become the mainstay for Harley riders in a variety of sizes, styles, and formal attire. It's "tough" material makeup has spilled over to represent the riders who sit on the bikes. Biker babes included. Biker Babes, have no issues with showing off their womanhood in the tightest of leather or the skimpiest of attire. Their confidence and strong will sets them apart. You can see it on their face, in their actions. Biker Babes will always find their way.

The Biker Babes "Family"

Biker babes will all agree, there is no prettier music then the sound of a Harley, except maybe......the sound of a pack of Harleys.

The smell of the leather, the feel of the wind thru their hair, the freedom of not being caged in, the peace within, and the feeling of being part of a "family" of many they haven't even met.

I think one of the coolest signs I have ever seen in a biker bar, was one that sums it up. It's the same overall feel of most rally's in areas where the lifestyle riders tend to gather, and the main feel for just about any ride. It said " There are no strangers here, they are just friends we haven't met yet."

Benefit rides around the world draw bikers and true biker babes when another "family" member has a need.. It is all part of being "family". They don't need to personally know the individual. They are considered family.

Event biker babes seem to look to be the show at the big rallies. They dress the "part", or what they think is the "part" At most the benefit rides I have attended, I noticed these flashy Biker Babes are not in high attendance, however, the real biker babes are there slinging the food, clearing the plates and tables...collecting donations, ......providing whatever help and assistance they can offer.They are not looking for fame and glory, they have no need to catch every man's eye, they have no desire to be showing skin. You don't see the high dollar leather sleazily dressed event biker babes at these kind of events. True Biker babes know its not all about them. This is for their family.

Rallies began as unofficial gatherings such as picnics or beach trips as riders joined together to share their stories and enthusiasm. Rallies grew over the years because it gave riders the opportunity to get together and eat, sleep and live the dream of the motorcycle lifestyle freedom together as a "family" for the duration of the event. The uninhibited activities that are associated with these rallies, comes from that feeling of freedom, and not necessarily a mark against the conventional ways of thinking. Biker Babes and the Rally

Biker Babes are very aware of all the upcoming rallies. Myrtle Beach is on the calendar very soon. Many smaller and less known or promoted rallies are where you see most of the true Biker Babes.

Although most weekend Biker Babes see the rallies as a time to dress in the formal rally attire of leather to the max and lace to soften the look. Weekend Biker Babes..like to show as much skin as possible....makeup and hair all in place, and off they strutt to the rally. Real biker babes have no problem toning it all down to crawl into the tent with their man.

Leather is worn for a reason, but at most these major rallies these days,it seems to be about making a fashion statement. New leather is everywhere. Fresh out of the stores. I do admit, the weekend Biker Babes make the rallies entertaining to watch. It is entertaining to watch them walk around trying to act and look natural in the role.

Next rally you attend, take a look at the Biker Babes on the side lines. The Ladies not seeking out the limelight or have a need to be seen. Pull up a chair and talk with her...my quess is.you will be meeting one of the REAL Biker Babes and she will have some very interesting things to say, and some very interesting stories to tell.

The Biker Babes question posed was pretty simple.

If you were invited to a party, and the host told you: "There will be a lot of Biker Babes at this party!!!" What image of biker babes do you have run thru your mind?

One male non riding friend answered with:

"My first thought leans to attire, there's a unique style to how biker babes dress.
Never really know what to expect in any given situation."
Aaahhh the leather and lace will be flowing typa party? Never know what to expect? Because lets face it Biker Babes are WILD chicks??? Yes, I do believe this is the image most think of when someone is talking about Biker Babes.

One male hard core rider answered :

"As I see it, in my eyes biker babes know a few simple things. They know Monday and Saturday are no different. We all only get so many days. They know how to enjoy them. Riding is a very serious business but it's to be enjoyed. I feel so much better riding with someone arms around me that has a heart of gold and if she understands living at the moment is all we get, that's the babe for me. She is also one who chooses this lifestyle so ill attend this party."

A female rider friend writes.......

"My image would be.. tall, skinny women in Black, dressed in HARLEY logo’d clothing.. skimpy.. bleached blondes for the most part..and YOUNG.. (babes)..

As far as what we really are.. women of all sizes and all ages, dressed skimpy (hehee) and mostly in Black.. drinking and dancing.. having fun together.. and lots of talking..lots of hugging going on.."

Another female rider sent me this and I have to say..........I think she hit it right on track........

It is a guy that is the host and he is saying biker babes, then I would think the same thing said as far as skinny, blonde, skimpy, sexy dressed.

REAL Biker Babes are like us – We love to have fun, be with our girlfriends and guy friends, Truly have a deep love for all of them (non sexual). Us Babe’s are all sizes, ages and hair colors, and all beautiful inside and out. We share all of our good times and bad times with each other and everybody is always there for anyone going through a difficult or hard situation and will do whatever they can for each other. This is what I consider REAL Biker Babes!!

Truely Biker Babes

Let's look at the other higher respected level of Biker Babes. The impressive number of females who are now riding their own. Ladies? I am truly envious of all YOU Biker Babes!

I read an article from the New York Times that talked about this. I don't normally read those kind of papers, but this was sitting there and I picked it up and was actally surprised to see an article about lady riders.

Harley-Davidson’s chief executive, James L. Ziemer talked about how 50% of the population is female and there is pent-up demand. He talked about how Harley wanted to remove the barriers. So they are producing more motorcycles that are low to the ground so women can plant their feet firmly on the ground. Making seats narrower, clutches softer, adjusting handlebars and windshields to make bikes more comfortable for smaller riders. About 12 percent of all Harley motorcycle sales are to women, roughly 32,000 new bikes in 2006.

Harley is advertising in women’s magazines with a striking black-and-white image of a rider using the chrome plating on a bike as a makeup mirror.

I find the fact that Harley implies even these wonderful biker babes have a need to make sure their makeup is in place...takes me back to that image of what some think Biker Babes are all about. It's not a bad thing. It's actually a testimonial to all true Biker Babes......they know how to look good, even after a ride in the wind! But there is sooooooooooo much more. We'll get into more of that here soon.

I just want to say, I am so in awe of these real biker babes. While I am very content to sharing the chrome...I envy them.

Woman from all walks of life...turning their backs to conventional backseat thinking...standing strong and taking a ride of their own. No one would doubt these woman are truly Biker Babes.

Defining Biker Babes

I, personally, don't think there is a categorized group of people out there that can bring an image to mind but yet, so widely vary in description , as the category of biker babes. There are tons of sites on the internet that will show you pictures of scantily clothed woman wearing leather and lace, draping themselves all over a Harley motorcycle and then tag them as biker babes for your enjoyment. AHHHHHHH The internet fantasy angle!!!!! Forget the fantasy! We are trying to find out what the REAL Biker Babes are all about.

Recently, a good friend of mine introduced me to one of his friends and added a comment to the introduction. He stated "This is Pam, one of the real biker babes" Hmmmmmm that surprised me. Yes, I love to ride Yes I am not easily intimidated by big burly guys in leather and chains. I actually love them. Yes, I can have an attitude and be a lady at the same time. BUT!!!!!! #1 I never show my tits,#2 I never wear a leather thong with only chaps. #3 I don't buy into that "Ass,Gas, Or Grass for a ride" way of thinking. #4 I am not wild and carefree. Those are all images I have heard associated with biker babes. One of the REAL Biker Babes???? Now that is interesting to me. I know what I am about, know what I like. The surprising thing to me, was hearing that statement from a man who I would have thought had other ideas of what exactly biker babes were all about.

So now I am going to search out an answer to a simple question regarding biker babes. I am sure I will get a variety of descriptions.They will all prove to be interesting.

I post this question to you first. Feel free to comment on this blog question.We really want to hear from you. I will also be asking this question to a wide range of people, to see how they see Biker Babes. The question is simple.

OK, so you want to be seen as a member in the sisterhood known as biker babes . What does it take? It's not about riding on the back of a motorcycle on weekends, or buying a new leather coat or chaps. It's all about attitude.

Before doing anything to convert your image, the things you need to learn have to do with bike safety. I can tell you, I have seen many self-tagged biker babes get off the backseat of their man's Harley right in the path of traffic. Girl! I want to tell you, you do that and all that make-up you took time to apply so carefully is going to be colored red with a gravel dusting. And those fancy leathers you bought to fit into the biker babes role, are going to be spread all over the street. You want to be seen as a biker babe? You'll get more attention then you ever expected being included in that sisterhood of airhead biker babes.

I have watched some woman, try so hard to look so natural on the back of a bike, it's almost scary. One comes to mind and is #1 on my idiot list. Here is this supposed seasoned member of the biker babes sisterhood. Sitting all primped up on the back of this brand new Harley. Her man driving down a city street full of traffic in both directions. Here, the obvious new member of Miss Biker Babes was...bouncing up and down on the back seat, swaying to the music from his tank tunes, waving to folks driving by as if she were in some parade. Personally, I would have liked to see him pull over, kick her ass off the bike, and make her walk for putting him in the position of danger. Seasoned biker babes have no need to make sure everyone sees them, to the point of jeopardizing a rides safety. True biker babes can ride and flow so well with the bike, the rider does not even know they are back there.

Learn safety! True Biker Babes and true Bikers, can pick you out of any crowd as a "self proclaimed" Biker Babe just by the things you do in regards to safety on a bike. It's all about the RIDE, not about you trying to dress your way into the biker babes world.
